Health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ)

We have implemented formal policies in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, and Quality. These policies define our systematic approach to identifying, managing and monitoring risks as well as Storage Benthuizen BV’s ongoing commitment to improving HSEQ performance.

The provisions for implementing HSEQ practices in daily operations are also described, for instance, through the use of training and testing.

Certified partner

The policies are supported by the Storage Benthuizen BV HSEQ management system complying with EN ISO 9001 on quality management, EN ISO 14001 on environmental management, and OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001) on occupational health and safety management.

The policies also respect and support internationally recognised HSEQ principles, such as the UN Global Compact and the FIDIC Integrity Management Guidelines.

Safety culture on construction sites

In order to create a strong safety culture on construction sites, Storage Benthuizen BV has developed an HSE concept called “Check, Act, Learn” based on an interactive 3D game environment. When training in an interactive 3D model, users are able to simulate real life work experiences. This enables them to identify and react to issues before they actually occur as well as solving problems and coming up with the right solutions.
